Astoria/Long Island City Kiwanis Installs Officers

On Wednesday, October 24 the Astoria/L.I.C. Kiwanis held its 2007/2008 installation dinner at Ponticello Ristorante under the direction of Event Chairman Linda Perno of Lincole Lithograph and Cochair Roseanne Alafogiannis of Alafogiannis Plumbing.

Officers installed were: President Tony Siano, vice president, Thomas Quinn & Sons Funeral Home, Astoria; Board Chairman Jerry Kril, and President Elect Paul A. Vallone, of Vallone & Vallone. The offices of Secretary, Treasurer, Sergeant-at-Arms and Counsel remain filled by incumbents Rose Anne Alafogiannis, Linda Perno, George Perno, Paul A. Vallone and Eric Pasinkoff. The new Board of Directors includes Dr. and Mrs. Arthur Gualtieri; Theresa Jarnich; Al Gentile, vice president of Astoria Federal Savings Bank, and George Quevedo and Rey Rivera of Morisco Funeral Home. The organization also pinned its newest member, Michael Serao, Commerce Bank Ditmars branch operations manager. Kiwanis Lieutenant Governor Angelo Maltaghati installed the incoming officers and board members.
