The Archbishop Molloy H.S. junior varsity soccer team rode a semi-finals 3-1 win against Regis H.S. on October 30 to a Catholic High School Athletic Association Intersectional Championship finals berth against St. Francis Prep last Saturday, November 3. The day was dark and a light drizzle fell, but Molloy's players shined against St. Francis in a 1-0 victory on the St. John's University soccer field in Fresh Meadows. Molloy scored the one goal of the game in the second half and never allowed St. Francis to score. Nevertheless, St. Francis fought hard to defend their goal and played well.

Molloy is celebrating the 50th year of its facility at 83-53 Manton St., Briarwood. The school won its third title 17 years ago, in 1990. Coach Adam Lipsky was a goalie on that team.
