114th Pct. Executes 2 Search Warrants

114th Police Precinct Commanding Officer Inspector Brian McCarthy directly supervised the execution of two search warrants on Friday, October 12. The first warrant, according to information received from the precinct, was executed at 37-14 Broadway and resulted in the arrest of two male Asians, 19 and 57 years old, and an Asian female, 53 years old. All three were found to be operating a commercial establishment where gravity knives were being sold, and all three were charged with criminal possession of weapons and violation of a local law.

The second of the two search warrants was executed at 13-11 40th Ave. Three Hispanic males 35, 57 and 69 years old and a Hispanic female 30 years old were found to be operating a commercial establishment within which marijuana was being sold. In addition to the arrests, a quantity of untaxed cigarettes was also seized. All four perpetrators were charged with possession of forged instruments and criminal possession of marijuana.

114th Precinct Blotter Highlights

Monday, October 8:

• At 14-22 Astoria Blvd., a 37-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after he pulled a victim's hair, punched her, bit her shoulder and threw her against a wall.

• A 29-year-old white male was charged with criminal mischief, criminal trespass and bail jumping after he was observed at Crescent Street and 24th Avenue without permission and upon apprehension, broke a vehicle window.

Tuesday, October 9:

• A 28-year-old Hispanic male was charged with possession of a forged instrument and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking beer in public at 36-44 35th St. and produced false identification.

• Two Hispanic males were charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after they were observed fighting in public, thereby blocking vehicular traffic, at 25-28 Broadway.

• A 26-year-old Hispanic female was charged with obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct after she attempted to prevent the arrest of another person at 25-28 Broadway.

• A 56-year-old white male was charged with menacing, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of a weapon after he threatened a victim with a knife at 38-12 28th Ave.

• A 56-year-old Asian male was charged with criminal trespass after he was found on property at 46-11 31st Ave. without permission.

• A 17-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was found in possession of marijuana at 31-45 49th St.

• A 16-year-old Hispanic male observed smoking marijuana at 21- 23 27th St. and upon apprehension, was found to be wanted on two active warrants. He was charged with tampering with physical evidence, bail jumping, criminal trespass, criminal possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct.

Wednesday, October 10:

• A 20-year-old Hispanic male and a 24-year-old white male were observed at 32-39 38th St. smoking marijuana in public and were charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

• A 35-year-old Hispanic male was charged with acting in a manner injurious to a child after he threw a chair in the vicinity of a child, causing danger to the child. The incident took place at 8-29 Astoria Blvd.

• A 46-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed at 30th Avenue and 30th Street drinking beer in public, and upon arrest, was found in possession of two knives.

Thursday, October 11:

• Two Hispanic males 17 and 19 years old, a 19-year-old white male and an 18-year-old Hispanic female were observed smoking marijuana inside their vehicle at 20- 72 33rd St. and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

• A 37-year-old Hispanic male was charged with aggravated harassment and disorderly conduct after he was observed pushing a victim into a wall at 42-21 Broadway.

• A 27-year-old Hispanic male who refused to leave the corner of 44th Street and 31st Avenue and was acting in a threatening manner was charged with disorderly conduct
