Annual Community Dinner & Movie A Success Once Again

The Salah M. Hassanein Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens held their annual community dinner on Monday, October 15, followed by the premiere of "Martian Child" starring John Cusack at the Regal-Kaufman Cinema.

The gala event, held at Cavo Restaurant and Lounge in Astoria, was chaired by Gus Antonopoulos. Board President Thomas Nowierski made the formal presentations, one of which was to this year's honoree, Theresa, Brucculeri. Suzanne Robotti, board vice president, put together a truly remarkable raffle for the club.

Board President Nowierski said "Tonight's community dinner, recognizing the work of Theresa Brucculeri, vice president of Ronald McDonald House, was a success on a multitude of levels. The chair, Gus Antonopoulos, quietly produced an event which had a great honoree, a wonderful venue, a group of generous and genuinely caring individuals and fine food and spirits."-
