Activities and snacks will be provided. Parents will have an opportunity to meet the school's dynamic team of administrators, speak with faculty members, including Gruss and Grinspoon-Steinhart Award winners, and learn about the stellar Judaic and Secular Studies curricula. They will also hear about the extensive program of school activities, the active, welcoming parent body, community chesed initiatives, holiday chagigot and family and grandparent programming. Guided tours of the school's state of the art facility will also be included. For 51 years, Schechter teachers have created a warm, nurturing environment that enables students to reach their unique potential as responsible, ethical American Jews. The school fosters love of learning Torah, Judaism, and Israel while focusing on both tradition as well as on evolving changes in Jewish life. Progressive pedagogy fosters critical thinking abilities that will enable students to solve problems competently and creatively in school and in life. Values are reinforced through an innovative "Be a Mentch" program that helps students integrate cooperation and consideration in their daily lives.
