China Avoids U.S. Import Tax
To The Editor:

We are now faced with the specter of a huge auto plant being built by China in Mexico that will flood the U.S. with 250,000 cars and trucks a year; thereby, further damaging our already fragile automotive industry.

By building this plant in Mexico, Chinese producers will enjoy a provision of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) treaty and avoid an import tax, thus undercutting our domestic manufacturers.

Can any American advantage be recalled that we derived from NAFTA? It is all bad. Evil from its beginning.

NAFTA was conceived as the foundation for a North American Union (NAU), a merger of us with Canada and Mexico, or, as Henry Kissenger stated, "a new world system".

Goodbye to our Constitution, our liberties and our America!

What is this but open sedition? Where is Congress? We need to exit NAFTA faster than illegals are crossing our borders, but Congress seems more dedicated to equivocation than representation.

Urge your congressman to support House Concurrent Resolution 22 and House Concurrent Resolution 40 that would repeal our support of the NAFTA treaty. Restore American independence, Lawrence Burke Roslyn, Long Island
