St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 43-19 30th Ave., Astoria, held its third annual parish carnival September 20 through 23. The festivities were held in honor of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, and a high point of the event was a procession through the streets of the neighborhood with the statue of St. Padre Pio on Saturday, September 22.

The carnival provided all comers with amusement rides, midway style games of chance, casino games, raffles, food and fun for all ages.
