Flushing H.S. capped off the second half of a PSAL high school football double header at the Long Island City H.S. field by shutting out its sister school in Long Island City, InformationTech H.S., 20-0. Flushing led total yardage for the game, 195-135, with all of its yards coming on the ground.

The rushing star of the game was Flushing sophomore Jordan Beranger, who scored two rushing touchdowns and one touchdown on a 68-yard punt return. He had 120 yards rushing and 76 yards on two punt returns, including the 68- yard touchdown.
