114th Precinct Blotter:
In other precinct news, police of the 114th Precinct executed the 39th and 40th search warrants of 2007 in two incidents six days apart. On Thursday, September 6, five Hispanic males 19, 20, 21, 27 and 40 years old were arrested after police executed a search warrant at 43-01 31st Ave., an establishment where, it was believed, stolen property was being sold. All five were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, On Wednesday, September 12, under the direct supervision of 114th Precinct Commanding Officer Inspector Brian McCarthy, 114th Precinct officers executed the 40th search warrant of 2007 after investigative tactics had revealed that sales of untaxed cigarettes were taking place at 41- 12 12th St. Three Hispanic females, one 17 and two 18 years old, were arrested and charged with criminal use of drug paraphernalia, bail jumping, possession and sale of untaxed cigarettes and unlawful possession of marijuana. 114th Precinct Blotter Highlights Wednesday, September 5: • A 22-year-old white male was charged with public urination after he was observed urinating in public at 31-12 43rd St. and upon further investigation, was found to have an active warrant. • A 24-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after he was observed in possession of metal knuckles in public at 21st Street and 38th Avenue. • A 41-year-old white male was charged with assault after he punched a victim in the face at 34-21 43rd St. • A 45-year-old Hispanic male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking beer in public at 21-22 36th Ave. Thursday, September 6: • A 19-year-old white male punched the glass door at an establishment at 31-08 Steinway St. and then he and a 19-year-old white female punched a victim in the face. Both were charged with assault. Also at 31- 08 Steinway St., a 43-year-old white male and a 22-year-old Hispanic male were charged with assault after they engaged in a physical altercation with the white couple. • A 29-year-old Hispanic male was charged with theft of service and criminal trespass after he entered the subway system through the exit gate of the Broadway/31st Street elevated N and W line station without payment. Friday, September 7: • A 29-year-old black female was charged with theft of service and criminal trespass after she entered the subway system through the exit gate of the Broadway/31st Street elevated N and W line station without payment. • A 30-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after he punched a victim in the face at 24-20 49th St. • Three Hispanic males 18, 20 and 21 years old were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, trespass and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after they were observed drinking inside a closed New York City park at Ditmars and Shore Boulevards and were found in possession of a knife and a box cutter. • A 44-year-old black female was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after she was observed drinking in public at 30th Avenue and 30th Street and was found in possession of a glass pipe with crack residue. • A 25-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after he punched a victim in the face at 34th Avenue and 33rd Street. • An 18-year-old Hispanic male was observed riding a bicycle on the sidewalk at 28th Avenue and Crescent Street. On further investigation, he could not produce valid identification and was in possession of a gravity knife. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and violation of a local law. • A 29-year-old white male was observed operating a vehicle with music emanating at an unreasonable volume. When he was stopped at 37th Street and 34th Avenue, he was found to have a suspended license. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and violation of a local law. • A 42-year-old white male was charged with criminal trespass after he was found on property at 42- 46-11 31 Ave. without permission. • A 34-year-old Hispanic male was observed attempting to steal a victim's vehicle at 20-35 24th St. and was charged with criminal mischief, grand larceny, unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of burglar's tools. Saturday, September 8: • A 16-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking beer in public at 37th Avenue and 34th Street and on further investigation, was found to have an active arrest warrant. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. • A 45-year-old white male was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, possession of burglar's tools, petit larceny and criminal trespass after he entered a building at 8-11 37th Ave. without permission, broke door locks and stole money. • A 40-year-old black female was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after she was found in possession of a razor blade and a crack pipe at 37-05 35th St. • A 39-year-old Asian male was charged with menacing, criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after he threatened a victim with a knife and stabbed and punched the victim's door, causing damage. The incident occurred at 34-32 38th St. • A 41-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, unlawful possession of marijuana and urinating in public after he was observed urinating in public and found in possession of marijuana at 29th Street and Hoyt Avenue North. Sunday, September 9: • A 17-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault, menacing, criminal possession of a weapon, harassment and disorderly conduct after he punched a victim about the body at 23-43 31st Ave. • An 18-year-old Hispanic male was charged with menacing, criminal possession of weapon and disorderly conduct after he displayed a knife while in a dispute at 23-43 31st Ave. • A 22-year-old white male was charged with disorderly conduct after he acted obnoxious in public, obstructing pedestrian and vehicular traffic, at Broadway and 38th Street. • A 46-year-old Hispanic female was charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon after she threw boiling water at a victim at 32-17 54th St. • A 42-year-old male was charged with obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct after he refused to leave 34-07 11th St., where law enforcement was handling a situation. Monday, September 10: • Two 12-year-old black males were charged with assault after they punched a victim at 31st Street and 31st Avenue. • Three black males 39, 49 and 54 years old were charged with criminal trespass after they were found on property at 34-24 Vernon Blvd. without permission. Tuesday, September 11: • A 45-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal contempt after he violated a valid order of protection by being present in a victim's home at 21-05 30th Dr. • A 19-year-old black male was charged with assault after he punched a victim in the face and head at 34-35 Steinway St. • Two Hispanic males 23 and 35 years old were charged with criminal trespass and having open containers of an alcoholic beverage in public after they were observed drinking beer in a closed New York City park at 30th Avenue and 30th Street. • A 24-year-old Hispanic male was observed running a red light in a stolen vehicle. After he was stopped at 31-53 33rd St., he was found in possession of a screwdriver and a dog chain belonging to a victim. He was charged with grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, unauthorized use of a vehicle, unlicensed operator and traffic device violation. An 18- year-old Hispanic male in the same vehicle was charged with the same offenses. Wednesday, September 12: • A 38-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking beer in public at 29-19 23rd Ave. and could not produce valid identification. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. • While being issued a summons at 35- 08 30th Ave., a 33-year-old white male attempted to leave the scene and ran over a victim's foot. He was charged with obstructing governmental administration, assault and harassment. |
