Search Warrants Lead To Counterfeit Merchandise Police of the 114th Precinct executed the 37th and 38th search warrants of 2007 on Tuesday, August 28. A 53-year-old Asian male was found in possession of counterfeit merchandise and charged with trademark counterfeiting at the 114th Precinct station house, 34- 16 Astoria Blvd. 114th Police Precinct Blotter Highlights Thursday, August 23: • A 19-year-old Hispanic male was charged with resisting arrest, unlawful possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct after he was stopped at 36th Avenue and 31st Street for using obscene language in public and on further investigation, was found in possession of marijuana. • A 24-year-old Asian male was charged with forgery, grand larceny, computer trespass, falsification of business records and criminal mischief after he committed fraud by using a business computer at 30-01 Northern Blvd. to make up sales that issued him a large commission. Friday, August 24: • A 41-year-old male was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public and unlawful possession of marijuana after he was observed drinking beer on the sidewalk at 31-46 48th St. and on further investigation, was found in possession of marijuana and cocaine. • A 21-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana after he was observed smoking marijuana in public at 35-25 33rd St. • Two Hispanic males 24 and 34 years old were charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after they were observed drinking vodka in public at Vernon Boulevard and 33rd Road. • A 23-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal trespass and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking beer inside a closed New York City park and was found in possession of a knife at 30th Avenue and 21st Street. • A 62-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after he was observed in possession of a knife in public at Vernon Boulevard and 10th Street. • Two Hispanic males 22 and 25 years old and a 23-year-old white male were observed running a red light. When they were stopped at 31st Avenue and 44th Street, they were found in possession of marijuana and were charged with criminal possession of marijuana, disorderly conduct and traffic device violation. • Four black males, two 22 years old, one 30 years old and one 34 years old, were charged with criminal possession of a weapon after they were stopped at a vehicle checkpoint at Vernon Boulevard and 33rd Road and found in possession of a knife. • A 22-year-old white male was observed driving on the sidewalk and when stopped at 32-25 Steinway St., exhibited signs of intoxication. He was charged with reckless endangerment and DWI. • Two 39-year-old Hispanic males were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, local law violation, petit larceny and criminal trespass after they were observed stealing a bicycle from a backyard at 31-54 42nd St. and were found in possession of a knife. • A 19-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and trademark counterfeiting after he was observed selling counterfeit CDs and was found in possession of a stolen checkbook. • Two Hispanic males 21 and 25 years old were charged with trademark counterfeiting after they were observed selling counterfeit jeans at 41-12 Broadway. • A 46-year-old Hispanic male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking beer in public at 21st Street and 29th Avenue and was found to be wanted on an active warrant. • A 45-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was observed in possession of crack and a pipe at 40-24 22nd St. • A 32-year-old white male observed breaking into another person's vehicle at 31st Drive and 23rd Street and stealing property from within it was charged with criminal mischief, menacing, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny and possession of burglar's tools. Saturday, August 25: • Two male Hispanics were each charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after they were observed drinking beer in public and could not provide valid identification. One, 19 years old, was arrested on 38th Street between 35th and 34th Avenues; the other, 48 years old, was arrested at Ditmars and Shore Boulevards. • A 35-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed with marijuana in public on Astoria Boulevard between 14th and 12th Streets. • A 15-year-old male was charged with reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, violation of a local law and disorderly conduct after he was observed at 30th Road and 29th Street riding a bicycle on the sidewalk and entering intersections without regard for traffic, causing a hazardous condition. • An 18-year-old Asian male was charged with possession of a forged instrument and grand larceny after he attempted to purchase an item with a forged credit card at 50-01 Northern Blvd. and was found in possession of two more. • A 22-year-old white male was charged with reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, harassment and disorderly conduct after he threatened and attempted to harm a victim at 30-34 49th St. Sunday, August 26: • Two Hispanic males 23 and 26 years old were charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after they were observed drinking beer in public at 32-68 41st St. and could not produce valid identification. • A 29-year-old black male was charged with bail jumping and criminal trespass after he was observed inside a closed New York City park at 37th Street and 20th Avenue and was found to be wanted on an active warrant. • A 25-year-old Hispanic male was observed operating a vehicle with music emanating from within it at an unreasonable volume level. When he was stopped at 21st Street and 34th Avenue, he was found to be wanted on an active warrant and was charged with bail jumping and disorderly conduct. • A 20-year-old Hispanic female attempted to prevent officers from breaking up a fight in public at Broadway and Steinway Street and was charged with obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. • A 57-year-old white male was charged with criminal contempt after he was observed at 79-14 19th Rd. violating a valid order of protection by making threats to harm a victim. • A 43-year-old male was charged with criminal mischief after he was observed at 37-25B 21st St. kicking the door of a victim's vehicle, causing damage. Monday, August 27: • A 26-year-old white male was charged with assault and harassment after he kicked, pushed and scratched a victim at 8-10 27th Ave. • A 42-year-old white female was charged at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., with robbery, menacing and criminal possession of stolen property after she threatened a victim with a knife and took the victim's ring. • A 32-year-old Asian male was charged with trademark counterfeiting, moving from a lane unsafely, seatbelt violation and improper license after he was observed at 21st Street and 39th Avenue operating a vehicle without a seatbelt on and when stopped, was found not to have a license and to be in possession of counterfeit merchandise. Tuesday, August 28: • A 36-year-old Asian male was charged with grand larceny after he refunded store money to himself without permission at 54-06 31st Ave. • A 21-year-old Hispanic male was charged with menacing, stalking and harassment after he followed a victim to W.C. Bryant H.S. at 31st Avenue and 48th Street and threatened the victim with a knife. • A 49-year-old black male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking beer in public at Broadway and 31st Street and was found to be wanted on an active warrant. • A 16-year-old black male was charged with theft of service and false personation after he was observed entering the N and W line elevated train station at 31st Street and 30th Avenue without payment and provided false pedigree information upon arrest. Wednesday, August 29: • A 25-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed with marijuana in public at 33rd Road and Vernon Boulevard. Thursday, August 30: • A 28-year-old Hispanic male was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle after he was found inside a victim's vehicle at 37th Street and Ditmars Boulevard without permission. • A 19-year-old white male was charged with assault, harassment and leaving the scene of an accident after he was observed leaving the scene of an accident at 38th Avenue and 22nd Street and when a victim attempted to stop him, sprayed pepper spray in the victim's face. • A 23-year-old black male was charged with criminal mischief, criminal possession of a weapon, menacing and harassment after he was involved in an accident at 38th Avenue and 22nd Street with a victim and struck the windshield of the victim's vehicle with a baseball bat. • A 26-year-old Hispanic male was charged with disorderly conduct after he acted inappropriately in public and caused a scene at 50-30 Broadway. • A 24-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking alcohol from a flask in public at 31-18 35th St. and upon further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. • A 26-year-old black female was charged with loitering and disorderly conduct after she offered herself to others for the purposes of prostitution at 40th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard. • A 36-year-old male was charged with patronizing a prostitute after he offered money in exchange for oral sex at 40th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard. Friday, August 31: • Two Hispanic males 17 and 20 years old were observed drinking alcohol from a flask in public at Ditmars and Shore Boulevards and upon further investigation, were each found to be wanted on an active warrant. The 20-year-old was also found in possession of marijuana. They were charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public and criminal possession of marijuana. • A 25-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana after he was found in possession of marijuana at Ditmars Boulevard and 41st Street. • A 39-year-old Asian male was charged with disorderly conduct after he acted boisterous in public, causing public concern, at 21st Street and 33rd Road. • A 29-year-old white female was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after she used obscene language in public, causing a scene, and refused to leave 42nd Street and Broadway. • A 20-year-old Hispanic male was fighting in public at Broadway and 32nd Street and was charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. • A 16-year-old Hispanic male was charged with a criminal tampering, criminal mischief, obstructing governmental administration, making graffiti, resisting arrest and possession of a graffiti instrument after he conducted graffiti at 23rd Street and 36th Avenue. • A 38-year-old white male was charged with assault and harassment after he grabbed a female victim by the neck and threw her to the ground at 30th Avenue and 30th Street. |
