Five Charged With Selling Alcohol To Minors

Five Asian males were observed selling alcohol to minors at five establishments in the 114th Police Precinct on Saturday, August 18 and were charged with having unlawful dealings with a child and engaging in the prohibited sale of alcohol. At 34-12 30th Ave., a 25-year-old man was arrested; at 41-12 Broadway a 39-year-old man; at 44-08 Broadway a 43-year-old man; at 43-11 Broadway a 49-year-old man, and at 34-04 Broadway a 64-year-old man. 114th Police Precinct Blotter Highlights

Friday, August 17:

• Three white males 29, 33 and 35 years old entered the subway station at Broadway and 31st Street without payment and were charged with theft of service and criminal trespass.

• Two males 22 and 23 years old, one Hispanic, were observed on a bench inside a closed New York City park at 24-40 29th St. without identification and were charged with criminal trespass.

• Four males 17, 19, 20 and 22 years old were observed at 34-18 28th St. in possession of marijuana and were charged with criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana.

• At 30th Avenue and 30th Street, a 25-yearold Hispanic male was drinking beer in public and could not produce identification. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.

• A 38-year-old black female was observed in possession of a knife in public at 36th Avenue and 21st Street and was charged with obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of a weapon.

• At 25-41 30th Rd, a 44-year-old Hispanic male punched a victim and hit her with a chair. He was charged with assault.

• A 16-year-old black male was charged at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon after he was observed threatening people with a knife in a park area.

• A 26-year-old Hispanic male was observed urinating in public at 24th Street and 21st Avenue and was found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with public urination.

• A 26-year-old white male was observed operating a vehicle in the wrong direction and in an attempt to flee, drove on a sidewalk and struck a fence at 31-78 34th St. He was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, reckless driving, driving in the wrong direction and driving on the sidewalk.

• A 35-year-old white male was charged with petit larceny after he was observed stealing victims' bicycles at Astoria Boulevard and 44th Street.

• A 23-year-old Hispanic male was observed at 21st Avenue and 27th Street in possession of a knife and was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and violation of a local law.

• A 44-year-old black male was observed drinking beer in public at 38-66 13th St. and was found in possession of a knife, a hypodermic needle and a screwdriver. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglar's tools.

• A 35-year-old Hispanic male broke a victim's store window at 37-27 Northern Blvd. and was charged with criminal mischief.

• A 31-year-old Hispanic male punched and broke a victim's television and was charged at the 114th Police Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., with criminal mischief.

Saturday, August 18:

• A 27-year-old Hispanic male was observed at Crescent Street and 34th Avenue drinking vodka in public and could not produce valid identification. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.

• A 30-year-old Hispanic male, who had been issued a summons at the 114th Police Precinct station house, while yelling refused to leave the station house and was charged with obstructing governmental administration and disorderly conduct.

• A 20-year-old Hispanic male was observed at Shore and Ditmars Boulevards operating a vehicle with a stereo at an unreasonable volume. When he was stopped, he was found to have a suspended license and was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and disorderly conduct.

• A 16-year-old Hispanic male and a 17- year-old Hispanic female were observed drinking beer in public at Ditmars and Shore Boulevards; neither could produce valid identification. They were charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.

• At 47th Street and Broadway, a 24-yearold white female was observed slapping a 26- year-old white male in the chest, who in turn slapped the female in the shoulder. On further investigation, both were found to be wanted on an active warrant. They were each charged with assault and harassment.

• A 22-year-old Hispanic male was blocking vehicular traffic at 36-45 34th St. and was found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with disorderly conduct.

Sunday, August 19:

• Two Hispanic males 39 and 40 years old were stopped at 38th Avenue and 32nd Street and were observed to be urinating in public and in possession of a knife and cocaine. They were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct.

• Two white males 16 and 19 years old were observed in a dispute at 35-41 33rd St. and were found in possession of a bat, a knife and a firearm. They were each charged with criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct.

• A 29-year-old white female was charged with assault and harassment after she punched a victim in the face at 30-19 46th St.

• A 36-year-old Hispanic male was observed running numerous red lights, crossing over double yellow lines and almost striking multiple pedestrians. When he was stopped at 34-15 Steinway St., he exhibited signs of intoxication and was charged with reckless endangerment, failure to obey a traffic device, a traffic device violation and DWI.

• A 43-year-old Hispanic male text-messaged and called a victim numerous times, thereby violating a valid order of protection. He was charged with criminal contempt at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd.
