Whitestone Student Is Miss New York Pre-Teen Cover Girl

City Councilmember Tony Avella recognized local Whitestone honor student Katherine McQuade with a City Council Citation in recognition of her recently being crowned "National America Miss New York Pre-Teen Cover Girl". McQuade, who will enter the sixth grade at Catholic school this fall, will go on to represent New York for her age group at the National Pre-Teen Cover Girl Pageant during Thanksgiving week in Anaheim, California.

The McQuade family is currently seeking sponsors to help offset travel costs for the National Pageant.
