The article "Cooling Centers Open" in "News of the Neighborhoods" by Liz Goff (Queens Gazette, July 25, page 28) incorrectly stated that cooling centers have been open since July 9. Cooling centers are open during extended periods of excessive heat, and the list of open centers changes and is constantly updated.
