4 Sold Liquor To Minors At Sites In 114th Precinct

On Saturday, July 14, four people at four separate establishments in the114th Police Precinct sold alcoholic beverages to minors under the age of 21 and were charged with having unlawful dealings with a child and engaging in the prohibited sale of alcohol. A Hispanic female 24 years old made an illegal sale at 22-73 31st St.; an Asian male 25 years old at 23-33 31st St.; an Asian female 26 years old at 27-24 21st St., and an Asian male 48 years old at 28-05 Ditmars Blvd.

• Also on July 14, three white males, two 17 years old and one 18 years old, were charged with criminal mischief after they broke a New York City water fountain at 23rd Terrace and 19th Street.

• A 45-year-old white male was charged with assault and harassment after he kicked, slapped and punched a victim about the face and body. The incident occurred at 30-18 35th St.

• A 14 year-old Hispanic male and a 15-yearold Hispanic female were charged with criminal trespass after they were found on the roof of 34- 55 12th St. without permission.

• A 21-year-old Hispanic male was blocking pedestrian traffic at 34th Avenue and 38th Street, and when challenged, produced a forged ID. He was charged with forgery and disorderly conduct.

• A 39-year-old Hispanic female was charged with trademark counterfeiting and violation of a local law after she was observed selling merchandise without a vending license at Ditmars Boulevard and 31st Street.

• A 22-year-old male was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny after she was observed stealing merchandise from 50-01 Northern Blvd.

Friday, July 13:

• An officer assigned to the 114th Precinct observed two Asian males 17 and 19 years old and a 22-year-old female in a vehicle at 30th Avenue and 23rd Street exchanging unknown items. When the officer stopped the car, one of the passengers threw an item into the glove box. The officer observed a small bag of marijuana on the seat next to the passenger's leg. One of the perpetrators was found to have an open arrest warrant; a search incidental to arrest revealed 25 small Ziploc bags of marijuana along with one large bag of marijuana and $195. All three suspects were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, tampering with evidence and criminal sale of marijuana.

• A 41-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed with an open container of alcohol and was also in possession of marijuana in public view at Vernon Boulevard and 30th Drive.

• A 28-year-old white male was observed in a vehicle with sound at an unreasonable level coming from the vehicle radio. He was found to have a suspended license. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and generating unreasonable noise.

• A 19-year-old male was charged with criminal mischief and making graffiti after he carved his tag into wet cement at 34th Avenue and 33rd Street, causing more than $250 in damages.

Thursday, July 12: • At the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition Waterfront Concert series in Astoria Park, a 40-year-old white female, in the park without permission or authority, was selling alcoholic beverages without a permit. She was asked to leave numerous times, but refused to comply. She was arrested at Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard and charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct and violation of a local law.

• A witness saw two white males 22 and 54 years old punch a complainant in the face with fists, causing the victim's mouth to bleed and left eye to swell and substantial pain. The were charged with assault and harassment. The incident occurred at 25-40 Shore Blvd.

• A 38-year-old Hispanic male was observed swerving his vehicle from left to right. The officer who stopped the vehicle at 34th Street and 35th Avenue smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The 38-year-old and a 39-year-old Hispanic male, who was a passenger in the vehicle, admitted to having smoked marijuana earlier. The 39- year-old passenger was in possession of additional marijuana and the 38-year-old driver was in possession of a gravity knife. Both were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal possession of a weapon.

• A 38-year-old white male was observed at 50-10 Northern Blvd. cutting open packages with a knife and placing said items into his front pants pocket . He passed all points of sale without paying for the items and was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, possession of burglar' s tools and petit larceny.

• A 42-year-old Hispanic male was observed at Ditmars Boulevard and 33rd Street driving without wearing a seatbelt. Further investigation revealed 16 suspensions on his license. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and seatbelt violation.

• A 17-year-old Asian male was observed driving through a steady red light at 30th Avenue and 47th Street. He told police that he did not possess a driver's license, but did produce a photo ID issued by the city Department of Education on which his date of birth had been altered. He was charged with forgery, possession of a forged instrument and unlicensed operator.

Wednesday, July 11:

• A 16-year-old white male was observed by a complainant and by police making graffiti on a rooftop at 21-70 31st St. and was in possession of four spray paint cans. He was charged with making graffiti, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and possession of graffiti instruments.

• A 47-year-old Hispanic female was observed at 23rd Avenue and 31st Street with another, unapprehended, female, exchanging pills for cash. She was charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance.

• A 48-year-old white female and a 42-yearold black female were seen loitering in the street at 10th Street and 38th Avenue, stopping several vehicles and engaging in conversation in a prostitution prone location. They were charged with loitering for prostitution and obstructing traffic.

• A 21-year-old white male was observed at Vernon Boulevard and 35th Road in possession of marijuana in public view. He was charged with criminal possession of marijuana.

• A 44-year-old black male passed all points of sale at 33-55 Crescent St. with unpaid items. He was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

• A 55-year-old white male was observed driving through a steady red light at 34th Avenue and Steinway Street. Further investigation revealed that he had a suspended license and was also in possession of a prescription bottle containing medications which were not prescribed to him. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlicensed operator.

• A 26-year-old Hispanic male was observed in a double-parked vehicle at 34-48 Steinway St., engaging in a verbal dispute with another driver. Further investigation revealed that his license was suspended for possession and/or sale of drugs. He was charged with driving with a suspended license and disorderly conduct.
