Bomb Scare Closes Steinway Street
A suspicious package left inside the Bank of America branch at 31-81 Steinway St., Astoria resulted in Steinway Street being closed down to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for a few hours last Thursday. The New York City Police Department bomb squad removed the package uneventfully. A spokesperson for the bank said the incident was under investigation.
