Gertrude Murray Dies At 91

Gertrude M. Murray

Gertrude M. Murray, nee Holden, died June 28. She was 91 years old. Born Aug. 26, 1915, she was a resident of Astoria since 1940. She moved to Newton, New Jersey in 2004.

Her husband, William, predeceased her in 1997. She is survived by three children, Noele Berger of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Carol Mayer of Estero, Florida and William of Huntington Station, Long Island. She had 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services were held under the direction of Thomas M. Quinn & Sons Funeral Home. Donations to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860 will be greatly appreciated.
