Dear Tony,

On behalf of my 170,000 constituents, I thank you for 5 years of committed service to this community. You have shown dedication to keeping your readers informed about local issues and events in a way that citywide papers could not possibly hope to accomplish. I look forward to reading the Gazette every week, and I make sure to keep a stack in my office for my visitors to enjoy.

First with my father, and now with me, my family has appeared in the pages of the Gazette for much of its 25-year history, and I can honestly say I feel like part of the Gazette family. I hope that your paper continues to run for at least another 25 years, continuing to inform, educate and entertain everyone in Astoria and Western Queens.
