Queens Museum Of Art Honors Thomas Chen

Crystal Window & Door Systems President Thomas Chen was recently honored by the Queens Museum of Art for his contributions to the community, particularly for his support of art and educational outreach programs. He was recognized at the museum's Annual Gala in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park on May 30 as several hundred people looked on and applauded. Congressmember Joseph Crowley and Commerce Bank Senior Vice President Peter M. Meyer were also recognized that evening.

Chen was introduced by former Queens Borough President Claire Shulman and was joined at the podium by his son, Crystal Executive Vice President Steve Chen. "I have always been a fan of the visual arts," Thomas Chen said in accepting the accolade. "It touches what is common in all of us. I am grateful to the Queens Museum of Art for this honor, and to be involved with such a worthwhile institution."

The Queens Museum of Art Annual Gala fundraising event enables the museum to expand its role as a premier cultural resource for the Queens community. The museum serves as the artistic focal point for the borough's 2.2 million people.
