Applauds Successes
To The Editor:

As we begin the new month of June, full of optimism, I was delighted to read several optimistic positive articles in the issue of the June 6, 2007 Gazette.

I applaud Congressmember [Joseph] Crowley for his tireless efforts to enact legislation to increase the amount of money allotted to veterans of the World War II Era, and for those returning home from Iraq. What an appropriate tribute to Memorial Day, to put words into actions by honoring our best heroes who sacrificed so that we may cherish freedom's precious glow of sunshine light.

More funding should be given to the first responders who risked their lives at 9/11. They were heroes and forces combating the war on terror.

I also applaud the students who received the scholarships for higher education from the Kiwanis Club and cheer on Bryant High School for scoring so well. These two positive educational successes are music to our ears. We are ensured of a future generation that will succeed.

In advance I would like to wish the Gazette a wonderful 25th anniversary of being our number one local paper in our area. Thanks for sharing with us for a quarter of a century. I applaud the efforts of all who make the paper possible from the reporters, the editors, the photographers and the advertising manager. Congratulations to the graduates, to the scholars and to the Gazette. Hats off and cheers to all concerned.
