Nab Mall Shoplifter

Cops arrested a 31-year-old Elmhurst man who last December was charged with shoplifting more than $3,000 worth of clothes from a shop at the Queens Center Mall on June 6.

Police said Cesar Villaiobos and two accomplices walked into the mall at about 8:30 p.m. on December 27. They distracted a sales clerk at a Banana Republic store, then swiped the clothes off a rack and ran to the street.

Police reviewed images caught on a surveillance camera and tracked down Villaiobos, authorities said.

He was charged with grand larceny at his arraignment at Queens Criminal Court.

Hunt Knife Toting 'Wolfpack'

Queens detectives are seeking help from the public to identify and locate a "pack" of men who attacked a Long Island man and his friend on a Corona street corner on June 1.

Cops said the 20-year-old victim and his friend were standing at 108th Street and 42nd Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. when about 10 men pounced on them.

The suspects told the victims they "didn't belong in the neighborhood" and began violently punching and kicking the two men, police said. During the beating, one of the suspects pulled a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times, police said.

When the gang fled and the victim realized he had been stabbed, he took himself to Parkside Hospital, police said.

The victim was later transferred to North Shore Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition with six knife wounds, police said.

Anyone with information on the suspects is urged to call the Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800- 577-TIPS. A $2,000 reward is offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.

Accomplice On The Lam

Detectives in Bayside are searching for a man who acted as an accomplice in a violent break-in at a home on Bell Boulevard on June 6.

Police arrested a 34-year-old Woodhaven man on June 7 and charged him with burglary, armed robbery and assault in the attack. Cops said Ashif Latiff and his gun-toting pal broke into the home on June 6, where they terrorized a 17- year-old girl and a second victim. The pair accosted the teens and forced them into an upstairs bedroom at the house, police said. Latiff and his accomplice then bound the girls' hands with plastic ties and threatened them with the gun, shouting, "Where's the money?"

Latiff told the 17-year-old her brother owed him money and said the brother was lucky he wasn't at home, police sources said. Latiff then grabbed his pal's gun and turned it on the teens as his accomplice ransacked the residence searching for cash, police said.

The pair fled with $7,000 they found in a lockbox hidden in the home, police said.

Police are asking anyone with information on the accomplice to call the Crimestoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS. 115th Precinct

'Ex' Nabbed In Break-In

Cops arrested a 28-year-old Corona man on June 4 after he broke into his ex-girlfriend's residence and trashed her belongings, police said.

Carlos Gomez held onto a key, which he used to enter the woman's apartment on 112th Street at about 10 p.m. on June 4.

While he waited for the woman to return home, Gomez became enraged and broke her curling iron, hair dryer and steam iron, police said. He then ripped several articles of clothing to shreds and used nail polish to scribble a message to the victim on her mirror. Gomez later contacted the woman and told her what he had done, police sources said.

The victim alerted police who arrested Gomez. He was charged with illegal entry and criminal mischief.

Latin Kings Busted In Kid Rob

Cops arrested a member of the Latin Kings street gang on June 5 after he and three accomplices robbed a 12-year-old boy on a Jackson Heights street corner, police said.

Hassan Syed, 16, and three teen accomplices confronted the boy at 91st Street and 34th Avenue at about 4:15 p.m. on May 2. One of the thugs asked the boy for the time as a ploy to get him to take out his Sidekick phone. A second accomplice, who told the boy he had a gun, then swiped the phone and handed it to Syed, police said.

The four thugs fled in an unknown direction, but police were able to track down the three accomplices later that day, authorities said.
