ANNUAL SUMMER READING PROGRAM:
Matthew Lish, a fourth-grade student at P.S. 26 in Fresh Meadows, who is appearing this summer on the "Today Show" on Channel 4 (NBC), joined Assemblymember Mark Weprin recently to kick off the lawmaker's annual Summer Reading Challenge. Lish appears on the "Today Show" with Al Roker as part of Roker's Summer Book Club for Kids. The two discuss the four books Lish will read this summer. Weprin (D- Little Neck) sponsors his summer reading program each summer for students from pre-K through sixth grade who attend schools in his 24th Assembly District. Each child who completes the program receives personalized certificate of merit.
