114th Police Precinct Blotter Highlights Sunday, May 27: + A 26-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal trespass after he was observed by a victim looking in windows at the rear of 30-54 12th St. without the victim's permission. + A 28-year-old Hispanic male was charged with menacing, assault, and harassment after he threw a wooden bat at a victim at 12-11 Astoria Blvd. Saturday, May 26: + A 29-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after he repeatedly slapped a victim. The incident occurred at 18-31 25th Rd. + A 35-year-old white male drove over the front yards of several properties, struck a tree at 21st Avenue and 78th Street and fled. When he was arrested, a loaded shotgun was found in his vehicle's trunk and an open bottle of rum and several empty beer cans and a gravity knife were found on the vehicle floor. He was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon, criminal mischief, resisting arrest, DWI, reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, driving the wrong way on a one-way street and drinking alcohol in a vehicle on a highway. + Two Hispanic males 23 and 24 years old were charged with assault after they got into a fight in public at Ditmars Boulevard and 33rd Street. + An 18-year-old Hispanic male was charged with obstructing governmental administration after he stood in the way of an officer who was apprehending another person. The incident took place at Ditmars Boulevard and 33rd Street. + Two Hispanic males 23 and 32 years old were charged with disorderly conduct after they were found fighting in public at 14-38 27th Ave. Upon further investigation, the 23-year-old was found to be wanted on an active warrant and the 32-year-old produced forged identification and was also charged with possession of a forged instrument. + Two black males 53 and 49 years old were charged with bail jumping and disorderly conduct after they threatened each other at 31-47 Steinway St. Upon further investigation, the 53-year-old defendant was found to be wanted on an active warrant. Friday, May 25: + A 30-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal trespass and criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed smoking marijuana inside a closed park at Shore Boulevard and 21st Drive. + A 23-year-old Hispanic male was observed smoking marijuana inside a park at Shore Boulevard and 21st Drive past its posted hours of operation and produced a forged identification card. He was charged with possession of a forged instrument, criminal trespass and criminal possession of marijuana. + Two Hispanic males 25 and 24 years old were observed turning without signaling. When they were stopped at Broadway and 41st Street, they were found in possession of marijuana. On further investigation, the 25-year-old was found wanted on an active warrant. Both were charged with bail jumping and criminal possession of marijuana. + An 18-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after he was observed at 32-14 Steinway St. with a knife in his vehicle. + A 22-year-old Hispanic male was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator, littering and unlicensed operator after he was issued a parking ticket, which he threw on the ground at 34-12 Steinway St., and attempted to leave and on further investigation was found to have a suspended license. + A 26-year-old black female was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, loitering and disorderly conduct after she was seen engaging in prostitution at 12th Street and 38th Avenue and was found in possession of a knife. + Four Hispanic males, one 17 years old, one 21 years old and two 20 years old, were observed drinking beer in a closed park at 36-12 28th St. The 20-year-old and the two 20-year-olds were also found to be in possession of marijuana. All four were charged with criminal trespass, criminal possession of marijuana and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. + A 57-year-old white male was charged with menacing and harassment after he hit a female victim and chased after her with a knife in his hand. The incident occurred at 79-14 19th Rd. + A 27-year-old black male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking vodka in public at 12-12 Astoria Blvd. On further investigation, he was found to be wanted on an active warrant. + A 31-year-old white male was charged with unlawful dealing with a child, permitting a minor in a bar and allowing unlawful possession of alcohol to persons under 21 after he was found to be in control of 33-22 28th Ave., a location where alcohol was being sold to minors. Thursday, May 24: + Two 32-year-old white males were charged with reckless endangerment, failing to pay, resisting arrest and criminal trespass after one of the males refused to leave 28-26 Steinway St. and attempted to strike officers with a chair. Both males had refused to pay their bills. + Two Asian males 22 and 23 years old were charged with assault, harassment and disorderly conduct after they attempted to choke each other. The incident occurred at 32-23 42nd St. + A 24-year-old Hispanic male was charged with disorderly conduct and loitering after he was found at Long Island City H.S., 14-30 Broadway, without permission and with no purpose. + Two 16-year-old black males were charged with criminal possession of stolen property, possession of burglars' tools, petit larceny, criminal trespass and false personation after they were observed stealing merchandise from 48-18 Northern Blvd. Wednesday, May 23: + A 21-year-old black male was charged with criminal mischief, unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny and possession of burglar's tools after he broke into a victim's car at 35th Avenue and Vernon Boulevard and removed property without permission. + A 32-year-old white male and a 26-year-old black male were observed fighting in public at 32- 55 35th St. The 32-year-old was found in possession of a knife. The 26-year-old was observed operating a vehicle and then fighting in public and was found to have a suspended license. Both were charged with criminal possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct. + A 27-year-old black female was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after she was found in possession of marijuana at 32-55 35th St. + A 16-year-old black male was charged with criminal trespass, reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon after he was found in possession of a black BB gun at 3-06 Astoria Blvd. + A 29-year-old white male was charged with burglary, criminal mischief and criminal possession of stolen property after he was observed fleeing from inside a building at 30th Avenue and 36th Street. + A 45-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault, resisting arrest, menacing and disorderly conduct after he threatened to strike a victim with a beer bottle, punched the victim and proceeded to act disorderly and obnoxious, causing a crowd to gather at 30th Avenue and 31st Street. + A 49-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking beer in public at 10th Street and 40th Avenue, and when asked for identification, produced a forged Social Security card. He was charged with forgery and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. + A 22-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking rum in public at Shore and Ditmars Boulevards, and upon further investigation, was found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public. Tuesday, May 22: + A 15-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after he was found in possession of a butterfly knife at 48th Street and Newtown Road. + A 21-year-old white male was observed smoking marijuana in public at 22-45 31st St. and charged with criminal possession of marijuana. + A 26-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance after he was found in possession of a crack pipe with cocaine at 28th Avenue and 37th Street + A 43-year-old Asian male was found running a store at 45-07 30th Ave. that was selling alcohol without a license to do so. At the same location, a 16-year-old Hispanic male was found in possession of a gravity knife. Both were charged with operating an unlicensed bottle club, unlicensed warehouse liquor storage and sale of alcoholic beverages without a license. + A 52-year-old white male was observed peddling merchandise without a vendor's license at 30th Avenue and 37th Street and was charged with trademark counterfeiting and violation of a local law. |
