World Government Coming? Zbigniew Brzezinski's 1970 book, Between Two Ages led David Rockefeller to create the Trilateral Commission in 1973. The goal of the new organization, as spelled out in this book, is piecemeal transition to world government. Rockefeller recruited [former President] Jimmy Carter to be one of the first members, while he named Brzezinski as the Commission's executive director. Once in the White House, Carter appointed Brzezinski to be his National Security Advisor.
In a recent interview conducted by CSPAN founder Brian Lamb, Brzezinski termed the war in Iraq "a profound misadventure". Even more, he listed among its consequences his belief that "our credibility world wide has been shot", "our legitimacy has been undermined" and "global respect for our power has been much reduced". While this assessment is clearly accurate, Brzezinski's lament is that our nation has lost much of its ability to force the rest of the world to follow the path he and Rockefeller have long advocated. Asked who he preferred to see as the next U.S. president, Brzezinski pointed to Nebraska's Republican Senator Chuck Hagel- which says a lot about Hagel. |
