Local Man Stabbed In Astoria Park

Police of the 114th Precinct are seeking Miguel Rivera, aka Todd Rivera or Mike Rivera. Rivera, 25 years old, approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with black or dark brown hair tied in a ponytail, is wanted for questioning in the stabbing death of Emrand Hossain,19, who was found at about 2 a.m. last Wednesday, May 16, at the edge of Astoria Park at 28th Street and Hoyt Avenue, stabbed once in the chest. Hossain, of 30-86 32nd St., was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center and pronounced dead two hours and 15 minutes later.

+ A 20-year-old Asian male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of marijuana after he was observed at Broadway and 43rd Street smoking marijuana in public and was found in possession of more marijuana.
+ A 45-year-old white female was found in control of 41-15 31st Ave. where alcohol was being sold after hours. She was charged with operating an unlicensed bottle club, engaging in the prohibited sale of alcoholic beverages, after-hours sale of alcoholic beverages and criminal nuisance.
+ A 30-year-old white female struck a victim with a cordless phone at 32-17 37th St. and was charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and menacing.
+ An 18-year-old Hispanic male was observed at Shore and Ditmars Boulevards with an open beer in public. He produced forged identification and on arrest was found in possession of marijuana. He was charged with possession of a forged instrument, having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public and unlawful possession of marijuana.
+ A 42-year-old black male was charged with violation of a local law after he was observed panhandling in public at 21st Street and Queens Plaza North.
+ A 44-year-old Hispanic male was observed with an open flame inside a park at 30-66 45th St. without a permit and produced a forged Social Security card as documentation. He was charged with possession of a forged instrument and violation of a local law (parks).
+ A 33-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking beer in public at 30th Street and 30th Avenue and upon further investigation was found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.
Saturday, May 19:
+ At 34-06 45th St. a 36-year-old white male punched a female victim in the face and attempted to choke her. He was charged with assault and harassment.
+ A 37-year-old white male was observed at 31st Street and 34th Avenue urinating in public and was unable to produce identification. He was charged with urinating in public.
+ A 27-year-old white male observed running an unlicensed bar at 37-06 36th St. was charged with operating an unlicensed bottle club, operating an unlicensed warehouse used for liquor storage, resisting arrest, criminal nuisance and selling alcohol without a license.
+ A car holding two black males 20 and 27 years old and a 24-year-old white female was observed failing to signal upon leaving a parking spot. When the vehicle was stopped at 23rd Avenue and 19th Street, the three were found to be in possession of marijuana and cocaine. They were charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use of drug paraphernalia, criminal possession of marijuana, aggravated unlicensed operator, uninsured vehicle and illegal signal.
+ A 33-year-old Hispanic male struck a bicyclist at Ditmars Boulevard and 79th Street and proceeded to drive on. He was charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
+ A 26-year-old white female, two black males 16 and 26 years old, three white males 26, 30 and 31 years old and two 24-year-old white males were all charged with theft of service after they entered the subway system at the Broadway station on the N and W line through an exit gate, failing to pay the required fare.
+ A 23-year-old black female was charged with assault after she pulled a victim's hair and punched the victim in the face at 32-21 Newtown Ave.
+ A 16-year-old Hispanic male found in possession of marijuana at Newtown Road and Broadway was charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
+ A 43-year-old black male observed at 4-21 27th Ave. without permission or authority was charged with criminal trespass.
+ A 42-year-old Hispanic female was observed stealing merchandise from 35-00 48th St. and charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny.
+ A 57-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking alcohol in public at 14-19 Astoria Blvd. and upon arrest, found to be in possession of a knife in his belt buckle.
+ A 22-year-old black male was observed riding a bicycle on the sidewalk at 36-31 29th St. On further investigation, he was found to be in possession of a switchblade knife. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and violation of a local law.
+ A 39-year-old white male and two Hispanic males 29 and 39 years old were charged with criminal possession of marijuana after they were observed in public with marijuana at 35-25 29th St.
+ A 39-year-old Hispanic male was observed with marijuana in public at 35-25 Crescent St. and on further investigation, was found in possession of narcotics. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of marijuana.
Thursday, May 17:
+ A 23-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking beer in public at 28-17 Astoria Blvd. and was found in possession of a stolen credit card. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.
+ A 21-year-old Hispanic female was charged with assault after she stabbed a victim with a piece of a broken mirror. The incident occurred at 35-60 11th St.
+ A 40-year-old white male ran a red light at a high rate of speed. When he was stopped at Northern Boulevard and 51st Street, arresting officers found the vehicle's ignition was damaged and the car being operated with a screwdriver. He was charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, reckless endangerment, possession of burglar's tools and disobeying a traffic device.
+ A 31-year-old Hispanic male refused to leave a victim's 42nd Street residence, thereby violating a valid Order of Protection. He was charged with criminal contempt.
+ A 39-year-old white male was observed at 35-35 Crescent St. without permission and with an open container in public. He was charged with criminal trespass and having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.
+ During a car stop at 36-06 36 Ave., a 19-year-old Hispanic male became loud and obnoxious in public, causing a crowd to gather. An 18-yearold black male exited the vehicle and blocked vehicular traffic. Both were charged with disorderly conduct.
+ A 15-year-old Hispanic male was arrested for a prior complaint at 23-44 31st Rd. and found to be in possession of spray paint. He was charged with criminal mischief, making graffiti, criminal trespass and possession of a graffiti instrument.
+ A 33-year-old male was charged with assault and harassment at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., after he kicked and punched a victim in the face.
+ An 18-year-old black male was observed yelling and screaming profanities in public at Newtown Road and Broadway and was unable to produce valid identification. He was charged with violation of a local law.
Wednesday, May 16:
+ A 24-year-old Hispanic male was observed smoking marijuana in public and drove away in a vehicle. When he was stopped at 34-58 38th St., he was found to be in possession of a switchblade and had a suspended license. He was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and aggravated unlicensed operator.
+ A 26-year-old Hispanic male was observed smoking marijuana in public at 34-58 38th St. and charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
+ At I.S. 126, 31-51 21st St., a 13- year-old white female was charged with grand larceny after she took a victim's cellphone without permission.
+ A 37-year-old male was charged with assault and harassment at the 114th Precinct station house, 34-16 Astoria Blvd., after he punched a victim in the face.
+ A 16-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal sale of a controlled substance after he was observed selling marijuana at 31st Avenue and 35th Street.
Tuesday, May 15:
+ A 25-year-old white male was charged with grand larceny, reckless endangerment, harassment, disorderly conduct and holding onto a moving vehicle after he blocked vehicular traffic and held onto a New York City bus at 32nd Street and Astoria Boulevard.
+ A 17-year-old white male and a 21-year-old Hispanic male were charged with criminal possession of marijuana and loitering after they were observed smoking marijuana inside a closed park at 45-11 31st Ave.
+ A 20-year-old white male was charged with obstructing governmental administration, assault and leaving the scene of an accident where an injury occurred after he ran over a victim's foot while trying to avoid receiving a parking summons at Steinway Street and 30th Avenue.
+ A 40-year-old black male was charged with trademark counterfeiting and violation of a local law after he was observed selling counterfeit products without a vendor's license at 27th Avenue and 4th Street.
+ A 44-year-old black male was observed drinking beer in public at 26-50 4th St. and found to be wanted on an active warrant. He was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public.
+ A 28-year-old white male was observed smoking marijuana in public at Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard and was charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
+ A 26-year-old white male was observed stealing merchandise from 31-09 Ditmars Blvd. and found in possession of a crack pipe. He was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, criminal possession of a controlled substance and petit larceny.
+ A 39-year-old Hispanic male was found in possession of cocaine at 30th Road and 46th Street. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
