Thanks For 'Truth'

A copy of the following letter was received by the Gazette. Ms. Rose Marie Poveromo President United Community Civic Association 22-32 81st Street Jackson Heights, New York 11370 Dear Ms. Poveromo:

I would like to take [the opportunity to] thank you for providing the opportunity for I.S. 10, I.S. 126, I.S. 141, I.S. 204, I.S. 230 and I.S. 234 to view the movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

The movie allowed the youngsters to get a true picture of global warming. From the genuine heartfelt applause, you could tell how much the students enjoyed the movie. From their heads nodding, you could tell that they were in agreement of the message from the movie.

Once again, thank you for giving our students an opportunity to learn about global warming. Please understand how deeply appreciated your efforts to educate our youngsters on global warming are valued.
Sincerely,
Dr. Philip A. Composto
Community Superintendent District 30
Local Instructional Superintendent
