Borough-Wide Blotter Lorraine Neos, 18, was killed instantly in a high-speed crash on May 6, when the driver of the car she was riding in lost control of the vehicle, crashed into a median, bounced off a tree and burst into flames in the eastbound lanes of the Grand Central Parkway (GCP). Neos, who was from Bayside, was riding in the front passenger seat of the car, about 1 a.m. when the driver lost control near Roosevelt Avenue and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. A second teen, Justin Saminocencio, 16, was rushed to New York Hospital of Queens, where he is recovering from a punctured lung and liver. Authorities said the other unidentified victims suffered broken bones, but were not seriously injured. The 18-year-old unlicensed driver was estimated to be traveling at least 20 mph above the 50 mph speed limit on the Parkway; he broke his arm in the crash, which is still being investigated. 115th Precinct Jackson Heights Man Robbed At Knifepoint Police arrested a 36-year-old local man on May 10 after he robbed a Jackson Heights man at knifepoint. The victim was not injured in the incident. Police said Victor Castro allegedly confronted his victim at about 3 a.m. on 74th Street and Broadway, where he grabbed the 21-year-old man, pressed a knife to his ribs and stole $100.
