Maverick American Filmmaker Retrospective At MMI

May 12 through Jun. 10, a retrospective of more than 20 films directed by Sam Fuller, including Shock Corridor, The Big Red One, Pickup on South Street, Park Row, and White Dog will be on view.

The retrospective will also include the first public screening of a 38- minute reel of footage shot by Fuller during World War II that documents the liberation of Falkenau concentration camp. This will be presented with the documentary Falkenau, Vision of the Impossible that features a commentary by Fuller, and two documentaries about Fuller will be also shown.

The Museum of the Moving Image is open Wednesdays & Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays, noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays & Sundays, 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Admission: $10, adults; $7.50, 65+ and students with ID; $5, children ages 5-18, under 5 and museum members free.

Admission to the galleries is free on Fridays, 4 to 8 p.m. Paid admission includes film screenings (except for special ticketed events). Free admission on Sunday, May 20.
