Martin Luther H.S. Holds 7th Grade Visitation Day

Martin Luther High School will host its annual Seventh Grade Visitation Day on Friday, May 11, beginning at 9 a.m. Seventh graders are invited to spend a day in high school without the distraction of upperclassmen.

Upon arrival at the school, students will meet a current MLHS student who will serve as their guide for the day. They will then receive a schedule and attend classes such as English and math, computer applications in the computer lab and physical education in the gymnasium and fitness center. They will also attend a science class in one of the school's state-of-the-art science labs and will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch in the school cafeteria. The "lesson plans" for the day include creative writing exercises and intriguing science experiments.

"This is a great opportunity for students to meet our current faculty and students, to meet fellow seventh graders from other schools and to see all our school has to offer," Executive Director Ben Herbrich. said "It's amazing how many students remember this first experience in our school many years after their graduation."

Martin Luther H.S. is located at 60-02 Maspeth Ave., Maspeth. For more information or to reserve a spot for Seventh Grade Visitation Day, call MLHS at 718-894-4000 or e-mail info@MartinLutherNYC.org.
