114th Pct. Executes 20th Search Warrant of 2007 An investigation after information was received regarding criminal activity observed inside 20-10 19th St. resulted in the issuing and execution of the 20th search warrant of 2007 for the 114th Precinct under the direct supervision of 114th Precinct Commanding Officer Inspector Brian McCarthy on Friday, April 27. Weapons, drug paraphernalia, narcotics and suspected stolen property were confiscated and a 41-year-old Hispanic male was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence, criminal use of drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of stolen property. 114th Precinct Blotter Highlights Sunday, April 29: + A 31-year-old Hispanic male was charged with theft of service at the 114th Precinct station house, 34- 16 Astoria Blvd., after he reached an agreed-upon destination in a taxicab and refused to pay for the ride. + A 24-year-old white male was charged with assault and harassment after he punched a victim in the face at 35-31 Crescent St. + A 24-year-old black male was charged with robbery, assault and criminal possession of a weapon after he struck a victim in the head with a baseball bat and forcibly removed a necklace. The incident occurred at 36th Avenue and 29th Street. + Two Hispanic males 34 and 49 years old were each charged with assault and harassment after they punched each other in the chest and face at 4-37 27th Ave. + An 18-year-old white male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed in possession of a gravity knife and marijuana at a car stop at Ditmars Boulevard and 48th Street. + A 35-year-old black male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon after he was found in possession of a wooden billy (baton) at 30th and Main Avenues. + A 41-year-old black female was charged with loitering and disorderly conduct after she was observed causing vehicular congestion due to engaging in conversation with several motorists at 10th Street and 38th Avenue. + A 68-year-old black male was charged with patronizing a prostitute after he offered money in exchange for oral sex at 10th Street and 38th Avenue. + A 23-year-old Hispanic male was charged with disorderly conduct after he was observed using obscene language in public at Astoria Boulevard and 34th Street. + A 23-year-old Hispanic male was charged with violation of a local law after he was observed selling consumable products without a vendor's license at 29th Street and 37th Avenue. + A 45-year-old Hispanic male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking beer in public at 35th Avenue and 33rd Street. He also did not have any identification. + A 31-year-old Hispanic female was observed operating a vehicle with a broken taillight. When she was stopped at Astoria Park South and 21st Street, she was unable to produce a driver's license and was in possession of marijuana and vodka. She was charged with violation of a local law, unlawful possession of marijuana, having an uninsured or unregistered vehicle and unlicensed operator. Saturday, April 28: + A 28-year-old white male was charged with assault and harassment after he forcibly grabbed a victim's arms and neck. The incident took place at 25-76 43rd St. + A 27-year-old white male was charged with DWI after he was in a car accident at 54th Street and 31st Avenue and exhibited signs of intoxication. + A 19-year-old Asian male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public and disorderly conduct after he was observed drinking alcohol in public and blocking vehicular traffic at 37th Street and Broadway. + An 18-year-old Hispanic male was charged with tampering with physical evidence, obstructing governmental administration and criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed with marijuana at Ditmars and Shore Boulevards and tried to hide the marijuana. + A 29-year-old Hispanic male was charged with urinating in public after he was observed urinating in public at 28-54 34th St. and was unable to produce identification. + A 21-year-old white female was charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after she was seen fighting in public at 32-94 Steinway St. and as a result, broke a window. + A 45-year-old white male was charged with criminal mischief after he purposely struck a victim's vehicle with his own vehicle at 37-17 28th Ave. + A 26-year-old Hispanic male was charged with violation of a local law after he was observed selling merchandise without a peddler's license or valid identification at 31-40 38th St. + A 49-year-old white male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed at 25-11 30th Ave. drinking beer in public and was unable to produce valid identification. + A 52-year-old Asian female was charged with violation of a local law after she was observed selling CDs and DVDs without a merchant license at 25-62 Steinway St. + A 28-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal trespass after he entered 20-44 24th St. and remained unlawfully. + A 46-year-old Hispanic male was charged with having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public after he was observed drinking a beer in public at 34-14 31 St. + A 55-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, having an open container of an alcoholic beverage in public and disorderly conduct after he was observed smoking marijuana and drinking beer in public at 47th Street and 30th Avenue. + A 24-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after he punched a victim in the face at 32-51 61st St. + A 23-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal sale of marijuana, resisting arrest and criminal possession of marijuana after he was observed dealing marijuana at 28-43 Steinway St. Friday, April 27: + A 26-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after he punched and threatened to harm a victim. The incident took place at 32-23 48th St. + A 65-year-old Asian male was charged with reckless endangerment and menacing after he attempted to leave 34-03 Broadway with a victim's property and hit the victim with a vehicle. + A 13-year-old Hispanic female was charged with aggravated harassment after she made threats to a victim on the Internet. The incident took place at 31-20 37th St. Thursday, April 26: + Two males 21 and 24 years old were charged with criminal possession of marijuana after they were observed with marijuana in public at Ditmars and Shore Boulevards. + A 27-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and acting in a manner injurious to a child after he struck a victim while the victim was holding a baby. The incident occurred at 34-19 Steinway St. + A 29-year-old Asian male was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, criminal possession of marijuana and urinating in public after he was observed at Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard urinating in public next to his vehicle, in which a gravity knife and marijuana were in plain view. |
