TMLA Junior Is Nobel Essay Contestant

Christina Cama, a junior at The Mary Louis Academy in Jamaica Estates, has been selected as a finalist in the Nobel Essay Contest sponsored by the Nobel Prize Foundation in conjunction with the New York Academy of Sciences and the Consulate General of Sweden. Cama competed with students from every high school in the five boroughs of New York City.

Cama's research essay, "RNAi: A History and Future of Research" is one of 15 essays reviewed by a panel of scientists in competition for the top prize of an all-expense paid trip to Stockholm, Sweden to attend the Nobel Week Festivities in December. One winner is chosen in each of three categories of biology, physics and chemistry.
