Volunteers Recognized At Sunnyside Community Services Celebration
Sunnyside Community Services hosted a celebration to acknowledge and thank the tireless efforts of local volunteers who last year put in over 45,000 hours of service in programs for children, youth, teenagers, parents, recent immigrants, and active and homebound seniors throughout Queens. According to SCS's Executive Director, Judy Zangwill, the volunteers represent one of SCS's most valuable assets. "Last year, SCS provided services to over 13,500 individuals, but we did not do it on our own. Without the help and dedication of our amazing volunteers, we would not have been able to offer the number and quality of the services that we did. We can't thank them enough."
