Big Apple Circus Holds Outreach Project Benefit Performance
The Big Apple Circus will dedicate one of its upcoming Queens performances of

"Sweep Your Family Away to a Bygone World" to Outreach Project, with proceeds to benefit domestic violence training and counseling services. Queens Borough President Helen Marshall is the honorary ringmaster and Carol Conslato, director of Queens public affairs for Con Edison, is the chairperson for the event, Thursday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m., at Cunningham Park in Fresh Meadows.

At this performance, sponsored by Con Ed, the Ciampa Organization and the Mattone Group as Corporate sponsors, the Walter Kaner Children's Foundation is the special sponsor.

"Sweep Your Family Away to a Bygone World" invites its audience to enjoy jawdropping stunts, first-class acrobats, hilarious clowns, surprising sideshows and much more. Sure to create memories for the entire family, the sights and sounds will awe adults and children alike. Everyone remembers his or her first time at the circus, and this performance will be no exception.

"For 20 years, the Big Apple Circus has supported Outreach Project with its exhilarating and stunning performances," said Kathleen Riddle, Outreach Project president. "Not only does this night give families the chance to do something different and fun, but it highlights the spirit of generosity in our community."

Individual ticket prices range from $38 for center ringside to $14 for side grandstand. Special group rates are available for 10 or more, including a corporate box for $2,000 that includes eight box seats and 15 additional seats and a book of raffle tickets. Those who are unable to attend can donate tickets for adolescents receiving treatment at Outreach for $20 each.
