Doherty, McCarthy Are UCCA Meeting Speakers

John J. Doherty, commissioner of the New York City Department of Sanitation, and city Department of Transportation Queens Borough Commissioner Maura McCarthy, will be the featured speakers at the April 19 meeting of the United Community Civic Association. The association will meet at Augustana Lutheran Church, 69-05 Ditmars Blvd., Astoria Heights at 7:30 p.m. Don't miss this opportunity to have your concerns about the Sanitation and Transportation Departments addressed by the people who head them.

Those present at the meeting also can add their names to the reservation list for the association's bus tour of La Guardia Airport. Lunch will be provided with the compliments of Warren Kroeppel, La Guardia Airport general manager. Only those physically present at the meeting may sign up for the tour.
