$105 M Mega Ball Ticket Sold In Astoria

The ticket that brought some lucky winner the single $105 million prize in last Friday's Mega-Ball jackpot drawing was sold in Astoria at The Magazine Store on 31st street, owned by Ahmed Salauddin. The winner, whoever he or she may be, scratched off 24, 32, 34, 36, and 39 and Mega Ball number 6, numbers that came up in the Mega-Ball jackpot drawing televised later on the night of Friday, April 6. Salauddin told a local television news station that he hoped the newest multi-millionaire would stop in the store to receive congratulations.

Another five people each bought tickets that matched all five lotto numbers, but not the Mega Ball, to qualify for second-place prizes of $250,000. One ticket each was purchased in Georgia, Ohio, New York, New Jersey and Illinois.

Thirty-three players matched four numbers and the Mega Ball to win $10,000 each. Another 2,144 tickets matched four numbers for $150 prizes; 2,283 tickets matched three numbers and the Mega Ball, also winning $150; 36,628 tickets matched two numbers and the Mega Ball for $10; 100,232 tickets matched three numbers for $7; 223,959 tickets matched one number and the Mega Ball for $3, and 440,434 tickets matched the Mega Ball for $2.

The next Mega Millions drawing, with a jackpot worth $12 million, was held last night, Tuesday, April 10.
