Weprin Meets With African Spur Turtle At APEC

Assemblymember Mark Weprin (D-Little Neck) visited the Alley Pond Environmental Center (APEC) at 228-06 Northern Blvd., Douglaston recently and met with a hard-shelled reptilian constituent, an African spur turtle named Pitzie. Weprin has long been a supporter of APEC, which is dedicated to establishing awareness, understanding and appreciation of the environment and of the responsibilities associated with preserving the environment in an urban setting.
