Taxi Service Borowide
A copy of the following letter was received by the Gazette. Dear Mayor Bloomberg:

Here's my simple proposal to increase medallion taxi access outside Manhattan.

Create a new class of medallion for metered, brightly color-coded taxis restricted to cruising and pickups within each borough: State Island-red, [The] Bronx-white; Brooklyn-blue; Queensgreen, but permitted citywide drop-offs. Only current yellow medallion cabs could pickup in Manhattan, citywide and at airports. Unauthorized pickups would result in medallion forfeiture. Limit new medallions to individual owner/drivers (one per customer) and restrict re-sales likewise.

This would increase taxi service, tax revenues and jobs while making NYC more livable, workable, safe and accessible: a win-win-win proposition. Very truly yours,
Rudolph E. Greco, Jr. Esq.
