Welcomes MTA Cameras
To The Editor:

The MTA already uses 450 cameras on buses and 1,000 cameras inside 45 subway stations. Now, it's looking to install digital cameras inside train cars. Well, I think with this technology we could be taking a bite out of crime and could better protect [ourselves] against terrorist attacks. There are those who might say, "Big brother is watching" and that our personal freedoms are under attack. But let me say this: true freedom is where you have the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Yet how can you have these freedoms when there are those who want to take them away, like the criminal and the terrorist? We need those measures by our government that will truly protect what we hold most dear.
