Groopman Honored For 17K+ Volunteer Service Hours

City Councilmember Peter F. Vallone Jr. joined representatives of other local elected officials to honor Cynthia Groopman with the 114th Police Precinct Civilian Observation Patrol (114th Civ-OP) Presidential Award. Groopman received the award last Wednesday morning, March 21, at the Peter Della Monica Senior Center in Astoria. Groopman has worked with the Civ-OP for 15 years, racking up more than 17,000 hours of volunteer service.
