Kavanagh Honored At Breakfast

Photo Luke Adams Captain Thomas Kavanagh, 108th Police Precinct commanding officer (second from l.) was given a breakfast in his honor last week at the Water's Edge Restaurant in Long Island City. Among the 100 or so persons who attended were (l. to r.) Pat Dorfman and Diane Ballek of the 108th Precinct Community Council, and Deputy Inspector Matthew Whelan, Kavanagh's immediate predecessor as 108th Precinct commander. Other former commanders present at the event were Deputy Inspector Michael Bryan and Inspector James O'Brien. Kavanagh assumed command of the 108th Precinct in November 2006.
