QCC Prez Named To Hall of Distinction

Queensborough Community College President Eduardo J. Martí. Ph.D.
Eduardo J. Martí, Ph.D., president of Queensborough Community College, has been named to the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities (cIcu) 2007 Independent Sector Alumni Hall of Distinction. Martí was presented with his award on Monday, March 5 at 5:30 p.m., at the Legislative Office Building, Third Floor Terrace, in Albany.

Martí was recognized for his accomplishments in the community college sector and his contributions to the community and the state of New York. An experienced educator who has led several community colleges with distinction for over 25 years, he was appointed president of Queensborough Community College in July 2000 and has successfully advocated for the importance of a community college education and has fostered high standards and traditional values in education. Three times a graduate of New York University, he holds Bachelor of Arts, Master of Science and Ph.D. degrees in biology from the institution.
