Spitzer Explains Healthcare Reforms At EHC

Photo Dan Miller/DMD Images Governor Eliot Spitzer (at lectern) outlined his plans for fundamental changes to reform and restructure the healthcare system in New York state at a press conference at Elmhurst hospital Center on Friday, March 16. Spitzer contended his reforms "will not only save taxpayers billions of dollars, but, most importantly, will lower the cost of health care while improving patient outcomes". He added that patients, not institutions, must be at the center of the healthcare system. Union Local DC 37 supported his initiative, according to a reporter who attended the press conference.
