Award-winning teachers from all boroughs with UFT Vice President Michael Mulgrew.
The UFT Career & Technical Education Committee invited chapters to nominate teachers at their schools to receive this year's awards. The honorees, who were recognized for their work in career and technical education, were introduced by either a student or a fellow staff member, including their supervisors, and called up to the stage to receive their awards. Each winner earned a certificate and a plaque and came away with a feeling that their work is actually making a difference in the lives of those they teach.

The program was coordinated by Mulgrew, to whom City Councilmember Eric Gioia, a staunch supporter of teachers and school leaders, presented a City Council Proclamation.- Dan Miller
