NEW YORK STYLE EATS for good food served fast

J ust because you're always on the go, doesn't

mean you won't have time for a good, home style meal served quickly. New York Style Eats serves good food fast and the prices and portions are just right. New owners Mark and Larry Stroumbos work tirelessly to offer fresh, quality ingredients in the breakfasts, lunches and dinners

that they serve seven days a week.

All sandwiches, appetizers and entrees are prepared fresh to order and served hot. The clean and comfortable dining room features murals depicting café scenes, creating a pleasant atmosphere in which to eat. There are plenty of tables to accommodate even a large group of family or friends.

Appetizers include spicy Buffalo chicken wings, crispy zucchini sticks, or their fabulous chicken quesadillas. The quesadilla is very popular because the flour tortilla is stuffed with mesquite chicken then

rolled like a cigar and fried in pure vegetable oil, making them easy to eat and great for sharing. The combo appetizer plate gives a sampling of mozzarella sticks, wings, chicken fingers and onion rings. Crispy fried calamari and sweet potato fries are irresistible.

Regular dinner menu items include their famous chicken dishes, shrimp, seafood and pasta entrees. Nightly dinner specials keep the regulars happy because there's always something new and tasty to try. For example, salmon sautéed with fresh broccoli, basil, garlic and oil is served over al dente pasta ($10.75). The chicken penne Siciliano that I devoured was made with tender chicken breast sautéed with fresh cuts of asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes, basil, garlic and oil and was served to me piping hot with a garnish of parsley confetti on the plate ($9.95). The Sunnyside salad is a big hit, assembled with wild mixed greens, sliced chicken breast, Portobello mushrooms, roasted red peppers, tomatoes, artichoke hearts and olives with your choice of dressing ($6.95). Linguine with fresh clams is prepared with a bold and tasty garlic and butter sauce. Enjoy any of these dishes in the dining room or have them delivered to your home or office. You can even take one home with you on your way from work as New York Style Eats is located on Queens Blvd, just downstairs from the 7 train at 46th Street.

At lunch time or any time, try one of their freshly prepared wraps ($6.15). Among the house favorites is the chicken Caesar wrap, rolled with romaine lettuce, tomatoes, croutons and Caesar dressing. The chicken fajita, stuffed with tender strips of grilled chicken, roasted peppers, onions and salsa on a flour tortilla is another popular choice. Hot Panini sandwiches take the chill out of an ordinary fast food lunch and offer plenty to choose from. The wraps go very well with an order of their delicious waffle fries or healthful sweet potato fries.

New York Style Eats grills 8-ounce burgers with all your favorite toppings, my favorite being

the Eats Superburger, with

fried onions, mushrooms, bacon and Swiss cheese. The Mexican burger is topped with jalapeno peppers and cheddar cheese, with chili. Philly cheese steak sandwiches require two hands to eat. The pasta dishes on the menu are great for lunch or dinner and include fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. The secret to New York Eats' chicken is that it is never frozen, and marinated overnight for optimum flavor and juiciness. Take out orders fly out the door, with 3 drivers and 4 bicycle delivery men who get your food to most areas within 15 minutes and "Eats" will deliver nearly everywhere.

Come for breakfast where skillet omelets are made to order with your choice of fillings and served with potatoes and toast. Bacon, ham, western, cheese, lox and spinach are just some of the fillings available. Bagels, muffins, pancakes and French toast are made fresh on the spot for a quick breakfast on the way to work, or a leisurely weekend brunch. Wash it all down with fresh squeezed orange juice or steaming cups of coffee or cappuccino.

For dessert, try the famous chocolate thunder cake, raspberry cheesecake or apple pie a la mode. The New Xango cheese cake is a frozen confection with bananas and caramel wrapped inside creamy cheese cake.

New York Eats does an extensive catering business and welcomes corporate accounts. They will deliver nearly everywhere and have an on-line delivery system through their web site which eliminates all the hassle. They are open seven days a week from 7am to 11pm and 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. NY Style Eats serves good food fast so visit soon, or simply call in your order for free, fast delivery.
