CALDC Children's Series Concert Rescheduled

The final show of the "Summer Fun" Children's Series presented by the Central Astoria Local Development Coalition (CALDC), originally scheduled for August 8, has been rescheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22 at the Dutch Kills Playground, 36th Avenue and Crescent Street. "Song and Puppetry Concert", with Anna E. Kravis, is an entertaining, interactive song and puppetry concert that children of all ages will enjoy.

The Summer Fun Children's Series provides entertainment that features artists specializing in children's performances in the fields of music, storytelling and theater. Over the years, these performances have been greatly enjoyed by children of all ages. This year's series is regarded as the best yet.

The series is made possible in part with funds provided by City Councilmember Peter Vallone Jr. through a grant from the city Department of Youth and Community Development, The Decentralization Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts, administered by the Queens Council on the Arts, the city Department of Cultural Affairs, Doral Bank, Athens Square Inc., and City Councilmember Eric Gioia through the Dutch Kills Civic Association.
