I am pleased to extend greetings to the Queens Gazette and your loyal readers for this keepsake issue commemorating the Gazette's silver anniversary.
For a quarter-century, the Gazette has established itself as a local publication covering our great borough of Queens, providing news coverage of the events, tribulations and milestones that have shaped our dynamic community for the past 25 years. The Gazette has managed to make great strides in readership, circulation and breadth of stories while maintaining a critical focus on the community as well as a much-needed community based perspective on local issues and global news.
I thank the dedicated staff of the Gazette for your public service through journalism, and offer my best wishes to the Gazette for continued success.
