Summer Jobs For Kids Deadline May 18

Do you know any young people who are looking for a summer job? The New York City Department of Youth and Community Development has a Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). Applications for the 2007 SYEP program can be downloaded by going to www.nyc.gov/dycd, or printing a copy of the application and instructions and sending it to SYEP.

The program is seven-weeks, administered by the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development and runs from July 2 to August 18.

Participants can work up to 25 hours a week while earning $7.15 an hour in jobs that include government agencies, hospitals, summer camps, nonprofits, small businesses, law firms, museums and sports and retail organizations. Applicants must be NYC residents between 14 and 21 years old to be eligible to apply.

Hurry now, the deadline to submit a completed application is May 18.
