Councilmembers Tour NORCS

Councilmembers Weprin, Arroyo and Vacca toured NORC facilities in Queens to see firsthand the wide range of services available to seniors. One of the focal points of the tour will be to illustrate how NORC-WOWs can greatly benefit communities, particularly through their affordable price structure. In general, NORCs are responsible for substantially improving the quality of life of many senior citizens throughout the city by enabling seniors to stay out of hospitals and nursing homes while providing them with similar elder-suited services. Through NORCs, seniors receive assistance with their shopping needs, quality nursing care, and daily maintenance and accompanying home-aid services.
