Gives Flag To Firefighters
Area resident Joan Hanson (c.) crocheted an American flag and presented it to the New York City firefighters of E n g i n e Company 262, 30-89 21st St., during the Thanksgiving h o l i d a y . “There are no words to truly thank you for putting your lives on the line to save other people and animals from burning homes,” she said in a note. “This is my way of showing my appreciation for all the excellent work you do for our community. May God bless you and your families and keep you safe when you are out on call.”
