Woman Is Assaulted, Robbed

Last Wednesday, December 20, at approximately 7 a.m. a 46-year-old Asian woman had just opened a business on 71st Street in Jackson Heights. Almost immediately, two Hispanic men armed with a knife entered and confronted her. They took the woman to the back of the business and sexually assaulted her before fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash.
Police of the 115th Precinct responded to what they had been told was a robbery and found the victim. She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center for evaluation.
The investigation is ongoing. Police are looking for two Hispanic men, both 20 to 25 years old. One has a thin build and dark brown hair and is wearing black wool gloves with multicolored fingers. The other is approximately 5 feet, 2 inches tall, of a medium build and also wearing black gloves with multicolored fingers. Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-800 577-TIPS.
