Search Warrant Yields Guns, Knives, Police Equipment On the following day, Thursday, November 16, under the supervision of 114th Precinct Commanding Officer Inspector Brian McCarthy, the 114th Precinct executed the 33rd search warrant of 2006. Three firearms, four gravity knives, two brass knuckles, handcuffs, Auxiliary Police equipment, an emergency vehicle light, multiple identifications and multiple vehicle license plates were confiscated. 114th Police Precinct Blotter Wednesday, November 8: + A 28-year-old Hispanic male was charged with assault and harassment after a victim stated that the perpetrator repeatedly punched the victim in the face. The incident took place at 31-74 35th St. + A 46-year-old Hispanic male was observed operating a vehicle without wearing a seatbelt. When he was stopped at 61st Street and 31st Avenue, he exhibited signs of intoxication. He was charged with DWI and driving without a seatbelt. + A 36-year-old black female was involved in a car accident at 29th Street and 39th Avenue and found to have a suspended license. She was charged with resisting arrest, aggravated unlicensed operator and failure to produce an insurance ID card. + A 51-year-old Asian female was charged with criminal possession of stolen property and petit larceny after she was observed stealing merchandise from 51- 48-18 Northern Blvd. + A 25-year-old Hispanic male was charged with unlicensed operator after he was involved in a car accident at 31st Avenue and 57th Street and was unable to produce a license. Thursday, November 9: + A 61-year-old Asian male was charged with burglary, menacing, criminal trespass, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment after he entered 30-85 Vernon Blvd. without permission and threatened a victim with a knife outside an apartment door. + A 35-year-old Hispanic male punched a victim in the head and shoulder at 25-38 32nd St. The perpetrator was charged with assault and harassment. + A 64-year-old Hispanic male was observed using a cellphone while driving. When he was stopped at Northern Boulevard and Broadway, he was found to have a suspended license. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and driving while using a mobile phone. + A 16-year-old male was observed and also admitted to making graffiti at multiple locations, using the tag of "BESO". He was charged at the 114th Precinct station house at 34-16 Astoria Blvd with criminal mischief and making graffiti. + A 29-year-old Hispanic female was observed to be in possession of a forged parking plaque at 33rd Street and Astoria Boulevard. She was charged with possession of a forged instrument. + A 16-year-old black male was observed conducting a drug transaction at 31-59 14th St. and was found in possession of marijuana. He was charged with criminal possession of marijuana and criminal sale of marijuana. + A 20-year-old Hispanic male was observed operating a vehicle with an aftermarket muffler. When he was stopped at 46th Street and Northern Boulevard, he was found not to have a New York state license and had an expired Tennessee license. He was charged with unlicensed operator, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and an equipment violation. + A 41-year-old Hispanic male was charged with criminal possession of stolen property after he bought a stolen laptop computer although being informed it was stolen. The incident took place at 12-14 Astoria Blvd. + A 23-year-old Hispanic male was observed drinking from a can of beer in public at 31st Avenue and 31st Street and was found in possession of false documentation. He was charged with forgery, possession of a forged instrument and violation of a local law. + An 18-year-old Hispanic male was found in possession of cocaine and marijuana and drug paraphernalia used to weigh and package drugs at 33-01 37th Ave. He was charged with criminal possession of controlled substance, criminal possession of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia + A 22-year-old Hispanic male was observed running a red light. When he was stopped at Newtown Avenue and 28 Street, he was found to have a suspended license. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operator and traffic device violation. + Two white males 22 and 24 years old were found in possession of a gravity knife and a box cutter at 35th Avenue and 38th Street. They were each charged with criminal possession of a weapon and making an illegal signal. Sunday, November 12: + At 30th and Newtown Avenues, two Hispanic females 15 and 16 years old and six Hispanic males, a 13-year-old, an 18- year-old, two 19-year-olds, a 21-year-old and a 22-year-old, were fighting in public. They refused to leave the location upon request and then resisted arrest. All eight were charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. + According to a victim, a 27-year-old white male choked the victim at 20-06 43rd St. The perpetrator was charged with assault, criminal possession of a controlled substance, harassment and unlawful possession of marijuana. + A 48-year-old Hispanic female spat in a victim's face, kicked the victim in the stomach and scratched the victim's face. She was charged with assault and harassment at the 114th Precinct station house at 34-16 Astoria Blvd. + A 28-year-old Hispanic male victim threw a remote control at a victim's head and was found to be in possession of a razor blade. He was charged at the 114th Precinct station house at 34-16 Astoria Blvd. with assault, harassment and criminal possession of a weapon. + A 39-year-old male was observed urinating in public at 25-16 Steinway St. and was found to be wanted on a warrant. He was charged with violation of a local law. |
